Saturday, 10 December, 5:00 p.m. – as decided at the AGM, the Christmas Reception has been set for Saturday, 10 December, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Members and their guests are invited to mingle and welcome the Festive Season with delicious snacks and a glass of cheer (cash bar). The cost is $20 per person. If you plan to attend, please contact Mary Schaufele – maryandron@shaw.ca or 250 – 480-7651. Payment should be made not later than Sunday, 4 December 2011. We’re excited to launch the Settlers of Catan league! Starting Monday, November 28th at 7pm, we’re going to host a bi-weekly Settlers of Catan evening. If you’ve got a copy of the game, bring it with you, including any expansion packs. If you don’t have a copy, don’t worry, just come down anyway, we’ll show you how to play! As this will be a first event, it will continue on the 2nd and 4th Monday evening of every month. Please send this to anyone you think might be interested!

After several years of debating, negotiating and consultations, and thousands of hours of volunteer time, I’d like to thank everyone in Victoria for their support. Yesterday we received the signed and stamped lease from the city of Victoria, keeping us around for another 15 years (which will bring us over the 100 year mark!)
We would like to offer our thanks by providing free lessons to anyone interested. Stop by Thursday evenings at 5:30p.m. or Sundays at 1p.m. wearing flat soled shoes, for the rest of the summer!
